State-of-the art research, breakthrough treatments
Our principal areas of research focus on understanding the genetic determinants of tumor biology, exploiting the interaction between the immune system and leukemia to develop novel immunotherapies, and developing new drugs designed to have greater potency and fewer side effects than traditional chemotherapy. The Texas Children’s Cancer Center Leukemia Program is dedicated to integrating laboratory and clinical research to increase our understanding of leukemia and to develop new, more effective therapies for the disease.
