The 2012 edition of Best Children’s Hospitals by U.S. News & World Report once again placed Texas Children’s Hospital on the Honor Roll of best pediatric institutions. Texas Children’s Hospital ranks as the #4 best children’s hospital in the nation! And just like last year, we’re #1 in Houston, we’re #1 in Texas, and we’re #1 in the central and southwest US.
U.S. News based its rankings on requested data from 177 pediatric centers as well as survey results from thousands of physicians in 10 pediatric specialties. A hospital’s inclusion depends primarily on how well it scores in medical outcomes and in care-related indicators of quality, including patient safety and staffing.
