Bargains galore at shopping extravaganza to benefit Texas Children’s Cancer Center
HOUSTON – (October 17, 2016) – “Shop ‘til you drop” will take on new meaning when Houston’s finest boutiques take center stage at the SALE, a 2-day charity shopping event scheduled for Jan. 7 and 8 at Bayou City Event Center, 9401 Knight Road. Presented by Houston Tri Delta alumnae, the SALE features boutique shopping at rock-bottom prices with proceeds benefiting Texas Children’s Cancer Center. Now in its third year, the SALE has provided over $335,000 to support pediatric cancer research in the Texas Medical Center.
Co-chairs Tracy McCleary and Laura Williams said the SALE brings together Houston’s finest boutiques in one location – and all for a great cause.
“Imagine dozens of Houston’s finest retailers, offering deeply discounted merchandise under one roof,” said McCleary. “This is shopping at its best – and all to help kids with cancer.”
Over 50 retailers will be participating and will offer designer clothing, jewelry, shoes and accessories for women and men, along with gifts and home décor. Participating boutiques include Tootsies, À bientôt, Elaine Turner, The Eye Gallery, French Cuff Boutique, Julie Rhodes Fashion & Home , Mela & Roam, Monkee’s, Muse Boutique, Raspberry Rose, Savannah House, and Tenenbaum Classic Jewelers. PaperCity is the official print media sponsor of the SALE.
The SALE is open to the public Saturday, Jan. 7, noon to 5 p.m. and Sunday, Jan. 8, noon to 4 p.m. Tickets are $25 in advance and $30 at the door. A Champagne Shopping Preview will take place Saturday, Jan. 7 from 10 a.m. to noon. Tickets are $100 through Oct. 31 and $150 beginning Nov. 1.
