August 4, 2008 – Texas Children’s Hospital
May 7, 2008 marked the 7th year for the Houston G-Man Classic Golf Tournament which was created in the memory of the daughter of an FBI Agent who was struck with Neuroblastoma. This little girl was treated at Texas Children’s Hospital and received phenomenal treatment and care. This tragedy helped the FBI family see the importance of Texas Children’s Hospital and how it touches so many lives.
Ever since it’s inception, the tournament has doubled it’s participation and has raised over $100,000 to benefit Texas Children’s Hospital and law enforcement families in need due to unforseen medical situations. The tournament is enjoyed by many local and federal law enforcement, attorneys, associates and local businesses. This year’s tournament was enjoyed by over 200 golfers and 30 volunteers.
Dr. Heidi Russell of Texas Children’s Cancer Center has come to the golf outing events to share with the golfers the importance of fund raising for this very important cause.
The tournament couldn’t be a success without the support of businesses who have been longtime friends of the tournament including Panera Bread, Coke, Anadarko, Bubbles Car Wash, Enterprise Rent-A-Car, Budweiser, Outback Steakhouse and United Forming.
