Seven-time Cy-Young Award winner and World Series champion, Roger “the Rocket” Clemens, took some time out yesterday to visit with young cancer patients at Texas Children’s Cancer Center – the largest pediatric hematology and oncology center in the nation.
Clemens spent the morning signing autographs, taking photos and telling patients to keep smiles on their faces and concentrate on the positive. Clemens will be the headliner for this year’s “An Evening with a Texas Legend – presented by Wachovia,” on Feb. 22 in Houston. The event will benefit research efforts at Texas Children’s Cancer Center.
