Heather Danysh, a research coordinator for Texas Children’s Cancer Center and staff member in the Department of Pediatrics at Baylor College of Medicine, received the International Society of Pediatric Oncology Young Investigator Award for her project “A Statewide Assessment of Childhood Central Nervous System Tumors and Traffic-Related Air Pollution.”
She will deliver an oral presentation at the society’s 46th annual congress later this month. Danysh works with Dr. Philip Lupo, assistant professor of pediatrics, whose research focuses on the genetic and environmental causes of childhood cancer and other pediatric diseases.
