This week Dr. Alberto Pappo, Director of the Solid Tumor Program at The Texas Children’s Cancer Center, will participate in a multidisciplinary clinic for patients worldwide that are affected by Gastrointestinal Stromal tumor, an rare myriad of sarcomas that affect between five and ten thousand people a year.
The NIH Pediatric GIST Clinic brings experts from around the country to offer a comprehensive specialized approach to the challenging treatment of this very rare condition in children.
