December 15, 2011- Texas Children’s Hospital
Costumed dancers from Houston Ballet’s production of The Nutcracker made a special visit to Texas Children’s Cancer Center. This holiday season, the Houston Ballet will present thirty-three performances of The Nutcracker at the Wortham Theater Center, and they wanted to bring the magic of the performance to children who may not have the opportunity to see the production. Houston Ballet principal Sara Webb, first soloist Kelly Myernick, soloist Karina Gonzalez and corps de ballet members Katelyn May and Madison Morris participated in this event.
Each year, dancers from Houston Ballet bring the magic of The Nutcracker to children at Texas Children’s Cancer Center. The Houston Ballet dancers enjoyed visiting the children in the Cancer Center clinic and inpatient rooms as well.
