Dr. Helen Heslop was the 2008 recipient of the Dr. Kenneth B. McCredie Medical Honoree Award presented by the Texas Gulf Coast Chapter of The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. The award is given in recognition of significant and substantial contributions to the field of blood-related cancers.
Dr. Helen Heslop is the lead investigator of a multi-million dollar SCOR (Specialized Center of Research) award which is the society’s premier research initiative. Led by extraordinary scientific innovators, SCOR teams include some of the brightest medical researchers in the field of blood-related cancer – specialists in genetics, virology, immunology, cell biology and other areas. Dr. Helen Heslop’s research is in the field of lymphoma.
