Katherine Voigt is a physician assistant on the Bone Marrow Transplant Unit at Texas Children’s Hospital.
She is a native of Bettendorf, Iowa and attended Augustana College in Rock Island, Illinois for her undergraduate education. After graduation, she attended Baylor College of Medicine where she earned her master’s of science degree and was licensed as a board-certified physician assistant by the Texas Medical Board.
Katherine’s first exposure to Baylor College of Medicine and Texas Children’s Hospital was during a summer internship, arranged through Augustana College. During this internship, she researched and created a registry of children who had developed a deep vein thrombosis. She is currently co-authoring a publication associated with the registry. Katherine’s master’s thesis at Baylor College of Medicine was completed at Texas Children’s Hospital; her thesis addressed the anticoagulation and antiplatelet therapy associated with the HeartMateII (a ventricular assist device).
She is a clinical member of the Bone Marrow Transplant / Stem Cell Transplant Program.
