Jalane is the Program Coordinator for the Graduate Nurse Practitioner Program at Texas Children’s Cancer and Hematology Centers where she facilitates the education and orientation programs for the pediatric hematology/oncology advanced practice providers.
Jalane functions in many significant and supportive roles, including as the APRN Graduate Fellowship Program Coordinator, the PACU Trainee Coordinator, and as a collaborator with the clinical APP teams in the coordination of new hires’ orientation schedules across disease teams, in addition to her clinical duties as NP on the leukemia team and the PACU provider team.
Jalane Theis is a pediatric nurse practitioner and a member of the leukemia and lymphoma teams in the outpatient clinic at Texas Children’s Cancer Center.
Outside of her clinical duties, Jalane is the Co-Chair of the Adolescent and Young Adult Program (AYA). She participated in the development and implementation of the Adolescent Program. She is currently working on an online teen handbook.
Jalane is involved in the Literature Committee, which is responsible for ensuring the accuracy of literary materials that are distributed to patients.
Outside of her duties at TXCH, Jalane is also actively involved with the Periwinkle Foundation, where she is a member of the Advisory Board and the medical coordinator for Camp YOLO.
