Dr. Gladstone Airewele is an Associate Professor in the Department of Pediatrics at Baylor College of Medicine, and is the Director of the Global Hematology Program at Texas Children’s Cancer and Hematology Centers, Houston, Texas. He specializes in pediatric sickle cell disease. His clinical interests include: leukemia, lymphoma, hematology and sickle cell disease.
Dr. Airewele is a graduate of the University of Benin School of Medicine, Nigeria, where he received his medical degree before transferring to the Neward Beth Israel Medical Center where he completed his residency. Dr. Airewele was accepted to the fellowship program in hematology/oncology at Baylor College of Medicine where he began his career at Texas Children’s Cancer and Hematology Centers at Texas Children’s Hospital, the pediatric teaching hospital of Baylor College of Medicine. During his fellowship, Dr. Airewele performed epidemiological research and received a Masters of Public Health Degree from the University Of Texas School Of Public Health.
He is board-certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and a board-certified specialist in pediatric hematology/oncology.He is an Associate Professor in the Department of Pediatrics at Baylor College of Medicine, and is the current Director of Global Hematology Programs at Texas Children’s Cancer and Hematology Centers, Houston, Texas.
