Biography

Dr. Donald Yee is a member of the hematology team and Director of the Hemostasis and Thrombosis Program. His research interests focus on platelet function and its role in mediating bleeding and thrombotic risk. Platelet activity differs substantially between individuals and may explain why some patients with bleeding or clotting disorders develop more problems than others. Dr. Yee is also interested in the development of methods and technologies that accurately predict which patients will encounter such problems, with the ultimate goal of preventing hemorrhagic and thrombotic complications from occurring.
