One of the few clinics in the nation that provides genetic counseling for children who have been diagnosed or have a significant family history of cancer. The clinic provides molecular diagnostic testing.

As one of the few clinics in the country to provide DNA diagnostic studies, screening tests and counseling services, the Cancer Genetics Clinic is dedicated to giving patients the psychological support & counseling that they need to cope or prepare for a cancer diagnosis. A full range of services and/or referrals are available, providing comprehensive psychological support and counseling as well as the most current medical information and treatment.

The Baylor Cancer Genetics Clinic saw over 120 new patients last year and is held weekly. The clinic is staffed by a principal investigator, genetic counselor & data manager. In collaboration with Baylor College of Medicine, the clinic also serves as a training site for both Medical Genetics and Pediatric Hematology-Oncology residents.
